Eric Rosow, CEO of Diameter Health
Eric Rosow serves as CEO of Diameter Health. He has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare technology, new venture creation, and executive management. Prior to co-founding Diameter Health, Eric served as the VP and General Manager of the Patient Flow business unit for Eclipsys and Allscripts. Preceding that, Eric was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Premise, a company he co-founded and led through its sale to Eclipsys. Before founding Premise, Eric was the Director of Biomedical Engineering at Hartford Hospital.
Eric is passionate about building high-performance entrepreneurial teams that challenge the status quo and create disruptive, yet pragmatic healthcare IT innovations. A native of Avon, CT, Eric earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering at Trinity College and an MS in Biomedical Engineering from the Hartford Graduate Center/Rensselaer in Hartford. He holds several patents and has authored more than 50 academic papers, several book chapters, and a textbook on virtual bioinstrumentation. At the community level, as a former member of the U.S. National Rowing Team and an active masters rower, Eric volunteered as a varsity crew coach for the Avon High School Rowing Program, which he helped co-found in 2007.
Alan Mendelson, General Partner, Axiom Venture Partners
Alan Mendelson is a venture capitalist in Connecticut where he has been investing in the industry for over 35 years. He is currently a partner in VC23, a Connecticut-based partnership that invests primarily in the biotech tools space and diagnostics. Prior to joining VC23 in 2019, Alan was the managing founding partner of Axiom Venture Partners. Axiom managed $200 million in 3 funds. Prior to founding Axiom, Alan spent 25 years at Aetna Life and Casualty (Aetna), where he had a number of responsibilities in the investment area. Among his responsibilities, he ran Aetna’s $65 million direct venture investing program generating $265 million of proceeds.
Alan has been involved in technology policy and development in Connecticut for over 35 years. He was the Finance Committee Vice Chairman of the state’s first High Technology Task Force in 1984, where he created Connecticut Seed Ventures and two Centers of Excellence. He has also been on the advisory board of Connecticut Innovations since 1989 and is currently on the board of the Connecticut Technology Council and the MIT Enterprise Forum. In his industry roles for the state, he has received the Distinguished Service Award from Connecticut Innovations, where he served as president.
